FAQ

Your documents are in good hands! Our translators are chosen with the greatest care and only translate into their mother tongue, as they have sound knowledge of the subtleties of the language and the cultural expressions specific to their country of origin.

One should not confuse translation support software with an automatic machine translator.

At QuickPro Translations in Mauritius, we use support tools during the translation process. This allows us to preserve the specific terminology for each client and industry.

Glossaries and translation memories are inserted into our software which will search through our huge databases to then give us the vocabulary specific to each client and industry, and this according to previous translations.

Of course, it is possible. We have software that can extract the text from your documents in PDF, JPG, PNG, etc.

The texts will then be handed over to the translator who will translate them and put them in table form so that you may have the source text on one side and the target language on the other side. This will ease the reintegration of the content and layout process of your brochure.

In case you do not have the material to be translated an electronic or digital format, our typist team is able to retype the content of your document (for example) on Word and the translators will then proceed with the translation in table form so that you can easily find the equivalent words in each language.

If you wish, we can also verify the translated documents once the page layout is done. A proofreader/reviewer will check for potential caesura issues, typographical errors, etc., before you publish and print.

Our translators are recruited according to their experience, field of expertise and only work in their mother tongue. They are proficient in a secondary language.

In addition to our professional staff, our translation-support software allows us to maintain excellent consistency in use of terminology thoughout all the documents that you entrust to us throughout the year.

In some cases, we ask new clients to provide supplementary documentation so that we can create a specific terminological glossary according to the industry within which he or she operates as well his or her preferred choices of terms.

If ever you do not have a supplementary documentation, our team of professional translators will take care of it for you. You will then be able to validate the suggested glossary and the latter will serve as point of reference for your future document translations.

A native proofreader/reviewer will work with the professional translator in order to avoid the slightest mistakes, be it at a typographic level, syntax errors, sentence structure, coherence, etc.

For example, in the case of marketing material, a final proofreading after the page layout is also recommended prior publishing and print.

It is for this reason that we use translation support software. As a matter of fact, the software will store recurring paragraphs and make them available each time a new document has to be translated. Terminological glossaries validated by clients will also be inserted, and this will guarantee consistency of terminology.

The translation support software allows us to consult the predefined and approved terms throughout the project.

In the event that you are not entirely satisfied with our service, we encourage you to contact us and inform us on the precise points that bother you.

We will do our utmost to modify the translated text according to your requirements.

In order to avoid these situations and save time, we strongly recommend that our clients to provide, as far as possible, a glossary of specific terms, supplementary documentation, or documents that have already been translated and used.

Of course! If your translation project is important and requires several weeks of work, we will split the project into several parts, you will receive part by part as the transaltion is completed.

Generally, an experienced translator is able to translate approximately between 1500 - 2500 words per day; this will mostly depend on the terminological technicality of your document and therefore, the level of intervention required by the translator.

In the case where your project is urgent and large, it is possible to allocate your project to several translators who will work together as a team.

Working procedures are put in place to facilitate the work of the translators who will have to put together their knowledge, skills and share their research.

Once the translation is complete, a proofreader/reviewer will be assigned an important role; his or her mission will be to ensure consistency of terminology and writing style throughout the document(s).

It is with great confidence that we tell you that this kind of situation has NEVER happened before.

This type of problem may occur due to Internet connection and email issues or any other problem that is beyond our control.

In that case, we warn our clients on time and always find solutions that allow us to respect deadlines.

If not, we apply a discount on the total price of the translations.

Our know-how, years of experience, professionalism and our ultimate quality control; these different elements brought together are what makes your collaboration with QuickPro Translations a real pleasure.

For the translation of graphical elements such as: .psd, .jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf, indesign, Illustrator, etc.

We are able to provide a translation of these different elements in the format that suits you best: xsl, odt, .doc, .jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf, .psd, indesign, Illustrator and much more.

However, depending on the level of intervention required to complete the task, we will have no other choice but to apply a surcharge on the project. The price is determined on a case-by-case scenario.

Considering that we will be forced to prioritise your project over those of other clients, the total cost of the translation will be billed an additional “urgent” fee, equal to 30% of the price of your order.

If you need to translate a document containing several repetitions, a discount will then be applied to the total price of the translation. This discount will vary depending on the number and importance of those repetitions.

Because of the processing time required for each order, the minimum fee is set at 500 Mauritian Rupees for any type of document.

We have built in project management costs, regardless of the project size.

A new client will be asked for a deposit as acknowledgement of the quote prior to launching the project.

This deposit is equal to 50% of the total price of the quote.

The payment date shall be made known to you when we submit the invoice.

Note: In case of non-compliance with payment deadlines, QuickPro Translations Ltd reserves the right to assign any contentious issue to its legal department, which will apply a penalty charge equal to the applicable legal rate in Mauritius.
